MB Petroleum was founded in 1982 as MB Trading. Within just a few years this company became one of the largest oil field service companies in the Middle East.
At present, the company has organizational units in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the USA and in the South-east Pacific area and is actively involved in project development in these regions.
The primary business sectors of the MB Holding Company are commerce (Crest Oil & Gas LLC, Oman), oil field service (with subsidiaries, for example in Oman, Germany, Hungary and many other countries), crude oil exploration and production (in Oman), mining (National Mining Corporation LLC, Oman) and general investment services (such as insurance companies, Cameroon Services etc.)
At present, the group offers drilling and associated services in Oman, Germany, Hungary, China, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Yemen. Thanks to its geographic presence and to the services it has provided, MB is one of the fastest growing companies in the Middle East, based on its revenues (average growth in revenues is 35% annually).
As of the end of 2008, the MB Group had around 6000 employees throughout the world.
The company was certified to the ISO 9002 standard in December 1997.
